Something Like Home

This waist bead collection was inspired by the many forms and shapes “home” can take on. Your home is the only place you can truly make your own. Many of us saw our parents recreate the experience of a culture or country within the sacred walls of their homes with the music they played, the decorations they used, the food they cooked and the way they spoke 一 often in stark contrast to dominate culture around them. Now as adults, we have the opportunity to do this as well, not only with our physical homes, but with our bodies. Learning to trust your body and create a safe space within yourself takes real work, but it will be one of the most rewarding investments you can ever make in yourself.
